GETTING STARTED

Roofing your home or business does not need to be an overwhelming task. Instead of running from one location to another looking for the best deal or product availability, visit us at Roofers Supply before you begin your next project. We have 5 beautiful showrooms and professional staff to get you started in the right direction.

Where Do I Begin?
If you are interested in building a new home, or simply wanting to recover or replace your roof, make sure to do your homework before you start.
Here are a few simple steps to follow, to help aid you in making the right decision.

Step 1:
Create a Budget!
- How much can you afford to spend? You may be surprised that the cost of a roof includes two factors that can dramatically affect the outcome of your total price. First is the cost of materials and second is the cost of labor associated with the application. In some situations, the cost to remove your shingles from an existing roof will be an additional charge.

Step 2:
Come Prepared -
Before you visit one of our store locations, do some small home inspections. Make a list of items that you feel need additional attention. Items would include soffit or rain gutter damage, chimney, stucco, and even siding and rock damage. Knowing these items in advance can be a great resource for us to help you find a qualified contractor to help you make those necessary repairs.

If you know the roof dimensions of your home or even the pitch of your roof, these factors will help us determine the approximate size and cost to help you in your budgetary needs.

Step 3:
Get Educated
- Visit the closest Roofers Supply store near you, and ask one of our helpful sales staff to assist you in getting started. All of our staff is well trained and educated to offer up their knowledge, education and skills to ensure you are making the right choice for you.

Remember to take your time, and ask about any incentives or special offers that a manufacturer could be promoting at that time.
Once you have a better idea about the products and application, you will then be better prepared to get a job quote and begin working with a roofing contractor.

Step 4:
Get a Quote
- Ask one of our sales personnel to provide you with list of certified and insured contractors that would be willing to come to your home or job site, and give you a complete bid for the job. Don't settle for the lowest quote! If the contractor is experienced and has all of the required documentation, his work should be insured and their account in good standing. We only refer contractors who meet our highest standards, and qualifications.

Step 5:
Selecting a Contractor
- This can be one of the most challenging and yet fun parts of roofing your home. Already, you have picked out your style, color and design of your roof, and have been educated about the installation process. Now it is time to make some decisions. What contractor should I use to install my roof? Each contractor will have his/her own style of roofing application, so we suggest doing some additional homework.

  1. Ask your contractor to give you a detail bid to complete your home.
  2. Ask the contractors for references of similar and local work.
  3. Review the DOPL website to confirm their roofing credentials
